How It Works

You have a legal right to ask companies what data they have about you and demand they delete it. Here is the process.

1

Find the company

Search our company directory. Each entry shows the privacy contact, friction score, and step-by-step instructions.

2

Know your rights

Your rights depend on where you live. See our rights guide. California and EU residents have the strongest protections.

3

Choose your request type

Access (tell me what you have), deletion (delete it), or both. Start with deletion.

4

Copy the template

Visit our templates page. Fill in your name, email, and date. The template cites the relevant law.

5

Send the request

Use the contact method on the company page. Keep a copy of what you sent and when.

6

Wait for the response

GDPR: 30 days. CCPA: 45 days. If they do not respond, see what to do next.
